About Ashes To Ashes Concierge Services

Ashes To Ashes Concierge Services was founded on a simple but powerful calling: to walk alongside families during one of life's most overwhelming seasons. We are a ministry-focused funeral consulting service — not a funeral home, crematory, or mortuary. Our mission is to serve as your compassionate guide, helping you navigate end-of-life arrangements with clarity, dignity, and peace of mind.

Founded by Tonya Whaley Harless and Gary Harless after being in the industry for 20+ years. With a heart for ministry and service, Tonya — a licensed funeral director and embalmer — now uses her years of industry experience to walk alongside families, guiding and supporting them through difficult decisions. She helps them understand their options, avoid unnecessary expenses, and make confident decisions during one of life's most difficult moments.

Compassion

Every family deserves kindness and understanding during their time of loss.

Support

We stand beside you, ensuring your voice is heard and your rights are protected.

Transparency

No hidden fees, no pressure. Just honest guidance and clear information.

Ministry

Our work is rooted in a calling to serve others with grace and love.

Dignity

We honor every life and every family's unique wishes and traditions.

Our Concierge Services

Cremation Coordination & Guidance

We help families compare cremation options and coordinate with licensed providers.

We provide guidance through the questions that matter most, including what is included, what is optional, what each provider requires, and whether the arrangements truly align with your loved one's wishes, your family's values, and your budget.

Memorial & Celebration of Life Planning Guidance

A meaningful memorial or celebration of life does not always require a funeral home. We help families explore flexible, lower-cost options such as churches, community spaces, private homes, parks, restaurants, or graveside gatherings while still creating a thoughtful service that honors your loved one with dignity.

Funeral Home Comparison & Shopping Assistance

We help families compare funeral homes, cremation providers, merchandise, service packages, and required fees so they understand what they are paying for before making decisions. Our role is to educate, identify possible cost savings, and, when needed, accompany families through provider conversations so they feel supported and never pressured.

Veteran Benefit Guidance

For veterans and their families, we help explain available military burial benefits, honors, cemetery options, and documentation needs, including guidance related to Houston National Cemetery. We also help families identify discounted services and respectful options that honor a veteran's service while keeping costs clear and manageable.

Grief Support Resources & Referrals

Grief does not end when the arrangements are made. We connect you with trusted grief counselors, support groups, faith-based resources, and community organizations to support your healing journey.

Cemetery Spaces: Buy & Sell

We assist families who are looking to purchase cemetery spaces as well as families who need help selling spaces they no longer plan to use. We explain resale options, help compare cemetery pricing against private-sale opportunities, guide listing and transfer questions, and look for ways buyers may save money while sellers receive practical support through the process.

Travel Insurance

We help families understand final-expense travel protection that can cover transportation needs if death occurs away from home. For a one-time fee, this coverage may provide significant savings compared with arranging transportation through a funeral home, where out-of-area transport can become very expensive.

Pre-Planning Consultation

Planning ahead is one of the greatest gifts you can give your family. We offer pre-planning consultations to help you document your wishes, explore options, and make informed decisions — all at your own pace, with no pressure.
